A gourmet dine-around in Mykonos Town

It may be a small island, but Mykonos has a dining scene to rival any of the top foodie destinations in Europe. The capital Mykonos Town in particular boasts an array of tempting gourmet restaurants specialising in fine cuisine from across the globe – thanks in part to the island’s rich and famous clientele.

We take you on a gastronomic tour of some of the very best, ideal for individual group dinners, or as part of a dine-around experience…

Baos
Local ingredients grown exclusively for Mykonian Korali are integral to the seasonal menus at Baos, enhanced by the passion of Executive chef Panagiotis Tsoukatos for regional flavours and flair for innovation.

Using molecular and fusion techniques, he creates dishes that look and taste spectacular. For those who want to taste the freshest catch and finest produce in their pure form, exceptional sushi is prepared by resident itamae chef. The fine dining experience at Baos is enhanced by the setting, poised on a hillside that slopes gently towards the windmills of Little Venice, with sweeping views of the sea to the horizon line.

Matsuhisa Mykonos
Follow the playful “Finding Nobu” sign and you’ll discover the only open-air Nobu restaurant in the world with an outdoors sushi bar, Matsuhisa Mykonos at The Belvedere Hotel. Chef Nobu Matsuhisa’s Mykonos outpost embraces global favourites, like rock shrimp salad, yellowtail jalapeno, white fish dry miso, salmon karashi su miso and sashimi salad, but you can also find daily specials featuring Greek fish and seafood straight from the Aegean Sea.

The wine cellar here has won awards too, as it provides an extensive collection of old and new world wines, including a number of Greek labels.

This high-end eatery at Mykonian Kyma boasts striking views of the Aegean and Mykonos town from its full-height bay windows. The focus here is on rich Mediterranean flavours and appetising aromas that come into their own with the finest farm-to-table ingredients, grown, reared or fished exclusively for Kyma.

Expect an exciting journey of Mediterranean gastronomy with traditional Greek mezethes like fried squid calamari, fava beans with octopus, lentil salad, moussaka, pasticcio or dolmades – all tasting like traditional Greek family fare, but with an haute cuisine attitude.
