So…slow down and reduce carbon emissions by simply staying in the same place for a little longer.

A bit of research can go a long way towards reducing the burden on over visited destinations, whilst spreading the benefits of tourism to local communities. An off-season trip will also alleviate crowding and feel more exclusive, so spend some time considering the best dates for travel too.

The travel restrictions caused by the pandemic have cut off many of these essential revenue streams, putting endangered species at risk and causing financial strain on research. Thinking about where you spend your budgets and the positive impact this can hold for the planet can make a big difference.
